Celebrating over 25 years of Decorative Painting!
Cathie, along with her husband Mark and two sons moved to Placerville in 1989. She started her decorative painting business in 1991 working with residential and commercial clients in the El Dorado, Sacramento and San Joaquin counties.
She is a charter member and past Treasurer for the River City Stencilers, member of the International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL), El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and El Dorado Arts Council. Her resume also includes teaching classes for the City of Placerville, surrounding craft stores and schools. She is passionate about giving back to the community with her volunteer time as a Gallery Host at EDAC in Placerville and donated painted work in the area.
Cathie continues her education and training while attending yearly conventions as well as other specialized classes.
Using a combination of free-hand painting, projection art or designer stencils, she can design and paint a custom mural on your wall to create an inspired space in your home, child’s room, or business. The process begins with an on-site consultation to evaluate the surrounding elements of style, size and color of the space. Listening to your specific criteria and adding her ideas, a rendering of the design is then drawn for your approval.
The process continues with the application of durable acrylic paints bringing your mural to “life”. Murals can be customized in almost any size and can be painted on most flat or textured surfaces.
Another option in decorating is painting on canvas. Custom canvas murals can be hand painted on a portable “wall hanging” that can be displayed from a “curtain rod” or even applied like wall paper, which can be reusable.
Whether your child’s room is turned into a castle or a garden, your business logo painted on the lobby wall, or your hallway niche could use a new view, the design possibilities are endless.
